The Mineola, New York project consisted of two new homes featuring a comprehensive fiberglass insulation and air-sealing package. The building envelopes incorporated R-30 kraft-faced fiberglass at the ceilings, R-15 high-density kraft-faced fiberglass throughout the exterior walls, and R-30 fiberglass insulation at the basement and garage ceilings.

Detailed air sealing and perimeter wind-wash baffles were installed to help maintain insulation performance and control unwanted air movement at critical areas of the building envelope.

Both homes were completed with HERS Ratings, blower door testing, and mechanical ventilation testing and verification, providing measured confirmation of airtightness, ventilation performance, and overall energy efficiency.
